Project crews:
Rockhampton’s working base.
From the Rockhampton Ring Road to power, water and resources projects across CQ, Cityville hosts project crews with self-contained apartments, weekly rates, block-booking capability, work-vehicle parking and company direct billing through Travellers Group corporate accounts. Both Bruce Highway exits sit within 5 minutes of the front gate. Tell us the rotation pattern and we’ll hold the same room each return.
Central position for site access
Cityville sits central in Rockhampton with quick access to both Bruce Highway exits and the major arterials out to the regional project belt:
- Bruce Highway northern exit (Yaamba Rd) — 3.2 km / 5 min.
- Bruce Highway southern exit (Gladstone Rd) — 2.5 km / 5 min.
- Stanwell Power Station — 29.6 km / 41 min.
- Gracemere (industrial precinct + saleyards) — 15 km / 20 min.
- Rockhampton Airport (ROK) — 3.5 km / 6 min — for fly-in crew rotations.
For current major project status — Ring Road phase, regional resources projects, power and water infrastructure — refer to Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads, Queensland Treasury announcements and the relevant project authority directly. We name no specific projects on this page; their official communications take precedence.
Crew logistics: kitchens, laundry, parking
What an apartment hotel means for a 4-week or 12-week project block, in practice:
- Full kitchens on the 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom apartments. A real cooktop, oven, dishwasher and fridge that holds a week of groceries. Cook your own meals; the difference vs. nightly restaurants over a 6-week stretch is meaningful.
- In-room laundry on the 2- to 4-bedroom apartments. The smaller sizes use the on-site guest laundry. Either way, no daily laundromat run.
- Work-vehicle parking — off-street for utes, trailers and oversized vehicles; secure on-site parking for standard. Tell us what you’re bringing.
- Free NBN WiFi — handles handovers, video calls, project paperwork.
- Real workspace in each room. Project notes, BMS reports, the daily diary — somewhere that’s not the bed.
- Pool, BBQ, grassed area for the weekend on / weekend wash-up.
Block bookings and rotation handovers
Email bookings@cityville.com.au with:
- Crew size and split (single occupancy vs. shared apartments).
- Rotation pattern (e.g. 4 on / 1 off; 2 on / 2 off; continuous coverage with handover days).
- Project duration if known, even if rough.
- Vehicle and equipment parking requirements.
- Billing entity, ABN, and cost-code format.
We’ll set up a held block at a negotiated long-stay rate and configure the corporate billing. For multi-rotation crews we hold the same rooms across return blocks where availability allows.
Direct billing and procurement
Travellers Group corporate accounts cover all five group properties — Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Emerald, Dubbo, Orange. For an EPC contractor or resources operator that rotates personnel across multiple CQ + NSW sites, one account replaces five procurement relationships.
Invoice configuration: cost codes per booking, PO reference on every invoice, ABN/GST handling, branch-level cost-centre splits, monthly consolidated statements. Tell us at account setup what your finance system expects and we’ll match it.
Setup takes a few business days from the application going through. Email bookings@cityville.com.au with company name, ABN, contact for invoicing and expected stay volume.
Which rooms suit a project stay
One person on a rotation usually takes a Deluxe Studio — kitchenette, ensuite, private outdoor sitting area, and cheap enough to hold across a long roster. For a placement measured in months, the 1 Bedroom Apartment adds a separate bedroom, a full kitchen with dishwasher and in-room laundry, which matters once you stop eating out. Two on the same crew tend to take a 2 Bedroom Townhouse for the two bathrooms; a crew of three or four takes a 3 Bedroom Apartment. All nine types are compared on the accommodation page.
Seven nights or more, booked direct: 20% off the flexible rate. Non-refundable, and not available through booking sites. Deeper rates apply from 20 nights and again from 60 nights — email bookings@cityville.com.au with the dates and we’ll quote the tier that applies.
